Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon). Meet & Greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel in downtown Sai Gon.
Overnight in Sai Gon

Day 2: Cu Chi tunnels – City tour (B)

Today we will visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, an underground tunnel system, which became legend during the 1960s for its role in the Vietnam War. Located about 75 km northwest of Sai Gon, the tunnels were part of an underground network that zigzagged from the southern tip of the Ho Chi Minh trail near the Cambodian border to the Sai Gon River. The network includes innumerable trap doors as well as kitchens, clinics, meeting rooms and sleeping chambers.

In the afternoon we are back in Sai Gon for a sightseeing tour to visit the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the War Museum and the Ben Thanh market.

Day 3: Sai GonVinh Long Can Tho (B, L)

We depart for a great trip on Mekong River. After a 3-hr-drive we will take a boat trip along the river and its narrow waterways, overhung with dense vegetation. We will try exotic fruits in one of the many orchards.

Lunch with local delicacies will be served in a bonsai garden. We cross the Mekong by a ferryboat to the Can Tho province.

Day 4: Can ThoChau Doc (B)

Another discovery in the Mekong Delta: the floating markets. We will wake up early to visit the floating market of Cai Rang, one of the most colorful floating markets in Southeast Asia where a great variety of fruits and vegetables found in the region are sold.

From Can Tho, we travel the colorful road to the bustling river town of Chau Doc. Take a short sightseeing to the Sam Mountain for impressive views over Cambodia and the Mekong Delta.

Day 5: Chau DocPhnom Penh by Express boat (B)

After a half-day boat trip along Mekong River, we will arrive in Phnom Penh.

After a lunch break in Phnom Penh. We will start touring around Phnom Penh. We will visit to the Silver Pagoda, the Independence Monument and Royal Palace

Day 6: Phnom PenhSiem Riep (B)

In the morning we depart for the airport to take the flight to Siem Riep. Continue to visit Siem Riep, the base for visiting the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor: South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as most complete structure of Angkor Wat which was built by King Suryavarman II in the middle of the 12th century.

In the afternoon we visit the Ta Promh, Angkor Wat and view sunset from Phnom Bakheng.

Day 7: Temples of Angkor (B)

Full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre and Victory Gate: Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo and Banteay Kdei.

Day 8: Departure (B)

Day at leisure. Transfer to the airport for departure.
